Family Mediation
Family mediations are divided into two types: Problem-solving mediation and divorce mediation. In problem solving Mediation I meet the couple, and by practical approach we try to overcome misunderstandings, overcome different interpretations and move on. Those are for couples that are not intending to divorce. In Divorce mediation, couples come to me wanting to leave their marriage. We talk about all the issues: visitation rights, custody, alimony and division of property. We write an agreement and confirm it in court. Why should we use mediation? Because of the low costs of mediation compared to the legal proceedings and attorneys' fees, because of confidentiality, because the process is faster, unlike legal process (we meet three or four times and talki about all the issues). I recommend mediation because the results are the same results as in the legal process: the law is the same law, the rulings are the same, so you should save costs and maintain the relationship.
